I graduated Hopkins in May, 2020 with a degree in Computer Science. These are a selection of projects from my college and high school days.
Barry the Bear - 2020
Barry the Bear was a proof-of-concept website we built for AI System Design at Johns Hopkins. The concept was to build a bear that young children, primarily located in rural areas with poor childcare, could use to collaboratively create stories with in hopes of improving speech development. Behind the bear was: GPT-2 (fine-tuned on children's stories) as well as text-to-speech and speech-to-text networks.
Law, Lyrics, "Loss-Yourself": Text Style Transfer Using Unsupervised RNN-based Autoencoders - 2019
As part of our final project for Deep Learning at Johns Hopkins, we wanted democratize law by building a neural network which could use text-style transfer to make legal documents more understandable for non-lawyers. While we did not have enough time or computing resources to get the legal-document neural network working, we wanted to prove the concept by having Eminem "rewrite" Beatles songs. Our project won first place at Intuitive Surgical's Deep Learning Project Awards, an annual competition at Johns Hopkins.
FIRST Robotics - 2015
I competed in FIRST robotics from 2012-2015. In 2014, we made it to the World Championship where my team finished the qualifiers as a fourth place alliance captain.
